PROJECT STATEMENT
working at a busy bag workshop that also has a Café, i’ve seen first-hand the immense quantity of waste materials that high street businesses produce on a daily basis, as well as being aware of the inefficiency with which it is often disposed of, leading to much waste going to landfill that could have had another life. reflecting on this, i decided to centre my project on the upcycling potential for local high-street business waste, and used exclusively materials that i either attained or could attain from such businesses. my final outcomes take the form of advanced bioplastics infused with coffee, molten plastics and root textiles that i first explored in 'NATURE'S RECLAIM'.
